About POPLICOLA...

‘’Publicola’’ (also Poplicola) means people-lover, pleaser or friend of the people.

This name was used for the Professor featured in the series, as behind every food system there are people who are either involved or impacted. Moreover, the authors felt that we all need to understand and work together to make sustainable food systems for all. The first step is to understand where our food comes from which includes having empathy with those producing it wherever they are in the world near or far.
